SendStation PocketDock™ for Apple
iPod.
Introduction:
The Apple iPod, Apple's sensational and wildly successful MP3 player is popular
with consumers all over the world. With the introduction of the 3rd Generation
iPod's, a whole host of accessories and add-on's have been designed and
manufactured by companies such as SendStation Systems.
SendStation Systems are located all over the globe and were founded in
1997. Their first product, the Mac-based SendStation Videofax turn-key video
transmission system was installed world-wide at leading advertising agencies and
their clients such as Saatchi & Saatchi, BBDO, Audi and Wrigley. It enabled them
to transmit video clips in VHS quality within minutes anywhere on the globe.
The tiny PocketDock lets you connect the iPod's docking port to a standard
6-pin FireWire cable. The docking port on the iPod uses a non-standard design
and therefore the PocketDock becomes an essential device for users looking for a
way to connect a standard FireWire cable to their iPod - for charging and
transferring files.
When on the road, it is likely that a user does not take the special Apple
docking cable with them... the PocketDock addresses this problem and solves it
with both style and practicality.
Product Features:
- Connect the iPod's dock connector with a standard 6-pin FireWire cable.
- Works with both PC and Mac computers
- Utilise existing accessories for the previous model iPod with FireWire (e.g.
Car charger)
- Small enough to fit into your wallet
- Weighs less than 0.3 oz. / 8g
- Design is perfect match for the iPod
In the Package:
The PocketDock arrives in a small retail packet that is well designed. The
PocketDock takes centre stage and the bright orange text grabs your attention.
On the front is a picture of the Apple iPod and on the reverse of the packet is
a few lines of text explaining what the PocketDock is and some of its main
features.

PocketDock packaging...
A handy connection diagram is also
printed on the reverse of the packet - although connection is pretty
self-explanatory.
PocketDock™ for Apple iPod:
The PocketDock is extremely small form factor and measures a mere 4cm long
(including connector), 3.5cm wide and about 1.9cm thick. This makes the device
very portable and it can easily be stored in your wallet or back pocket when you
are on the road.

iPod dock connector at one end and FireWire at other...
It's design is a perfect match for
the style of the Apple iPod and complements it perfectly, the build quality is
extremely high. At one end of the PocketDock is the dock connector that connects
into the iPod and at the opposite end is the FireWire port.
The 'top' of the PocketDock has a small circular symbol printed on it - this
helps you to insert the PocketDock into the iPod with the correct orientation -
it will only connect one way, as you might damage the port if you force it in
the wrong way.
